A copy of Circular No. 551, dated 25th February, 1904 published on page 17 of Weekly Notice 10 / 1904 proclaimed :-

Opening of Congdon Street Station on Tuesday, 1st March, 1904.
           A new Station, to be known as “Congdon Street.,” situated at mileage 5 miles 37 chains, will be opened for passenger traffic on Tuesday, 1st .March, 1904, and all passenger trains (Express trains excepted) will stop to pick up and set down passengers.
           Down trains will depart three minutes later than from Cottesloe, and Up trains two minutes later than from Claremont.
           A Day and Night Officer will be in charge, and signals, as particularised below, will
be worked by levers placed on the platform :-
           Down Home. - 23 feet high on Down side of line, 11 yards clear of platform.
           Down Distant. - 30 feet high on Down side of line, 405 yards from Home signal.
           Up Home. - 23 feet high on Up side of line, 11 yards clear of platform.
           Up Distant. - 30 feet high on Up side of line, 550 yards from Home signal, is the bottom arm on Claremont Up Advance Signal.

This station was renamed in March 1912 as Osborne and subsequently renamed again in March 1921 as Swanbourne.
